Exclusive sneak peek of the new Relaxation Area offered for Airport Cluster Finland seminar guests
The delegates of Airport Cluster Finland 4th Annual Seminar & Exhibition were given the privilege to be the first ones to visit the brand new Relaxation Area at Helsinki Airport. The Relaxation Area located in T2 next to gate 31 will be opened for public next week.
The Relaxation Area is a calm, peaceful place for passengers to relax, rest and even sleep. There are different options from a silence chair to a sleeping tube, from which the passenger can choose in which of these they wish to relax.
The decoration and atmosphere in the area reflects elements typical to Finnish nature such as ice and snow.
The first visitors were excited about the Relaxation Area and busy testing all the different resting options. According to the first impressions, the concept has succeeded in being a calm space inviting passengers to relax at the busy airport. The space is also suitable for working and making phone calls that require privacy and silence.
The Relaxation Area is a pilot project of Vantaa Innovation Insitute's Airport Concepts project. The pilot is implemented by Finavia and Vantaa Innovation Institute.
